Thankfulness on UK Jalsa - 31 Jul
On the first day there were rains which then cleared for the rest of the days. Huzur said this was for our benefit because it could prevent spread of the swine flu that is a growing concern these days. A lot of men and women put in a lot of efforts in the success of the Jalsa and for getting it covered worldwide through the system of MTA. The general organisation of Jalsa duties were also really good.
There was a new health and safety department for Jalsa that started this year. Ahmadulillah they also did a great job and met all the standards for health and safety prescribed by the government. People on duty and the guests equally contributed to keep the premises and the facilities clean.
Huzur also cited many positive remarks from various muslim and non-muslim guests to the Jalsa and how the Jalsa impacted their lives. There has been many events of Tabligh also during the Jalsa. Huzur ended his Jalsa again by thanking Allah for the countless mercies and blessings that he showered on the Jalsa.

Wassigh Makanaka : Expand your residence - Jun 12
Wassigh Makanaka is an ilham - revelation - that Allah gave Promised Messiah (as) even before his advent. At that time, there was no Jamaat and the Promised Messiah did not have any material means. Still he believed in this instruction for God Almighty, and raised a couple of huts in front of his house in Qadian. These huts did not last for a long time. But after his advent as the Promised Messiah and the 100+ years that followed, the world witnessed how this ilham manifested itself. The Jamaat that was founded by the Promised Messiah, for the purpose of saving the mankind by leading them towards their Lord is now spread world wide and there are 14,712 mosques and mission centers today. Huzoor also mentioned the growth of the town of Qadian and the expanded facilities Jamaat has for guests these days.
Huzoor also addressed the Jalsa of Kababeer Jamaat in Israel which was starting on the same day. Jalsas should serve to help us attain blessings of God and to purify our lives. We have to review for progress everyday. Every night should stand witness that we spend the day in remembrance of God. Every day should stand witness that we spend the previous night in remembrance of God.
No soul has to bear more than what it can - May 29
No soul is held responsible for any actions that it is not capable of performing. Every soul reaps the effect of its own actions. This is the basic teaching of Islam. Allah also taught us that seeking and acquiring knowledge is the responsibility of a believer. So, while gaining more knowledge and thereby expanding the capabilities, we pursue the never ending path to success. In this sermon, Khalifatul Masih V went through this teaching in the light of explanation from the Promised Messiah (as).
We should understand that the responsibility on us is to put efforts as such as our soul can stand and try to progress in our knowledge. We cannot stay at one place saying that’s our limit. Promised Messiah says that a believer cannot stop at any level of his journey. If he stops, he gets under the influence of Satan and he will slowly drift away. Purification is a continuous process. The more knowledgeable one is, the more he sees Allah and follows the right path.
The Holy Prophet (sa) has been sent as a guidance for the mankind of all nations and all times. We should learn more from his life and follow his examples. We should also apply our intellect and reasoning, since intellect is a blessing from Allah.
Be humble and submit to the almighty - May 22
In this sermon, Huzoor (aba) asks us to focus on purifying our hearts. Allah says in the Holy Qur'an that those who purify their souls are the one who succeed. Purification of soul is a task that has no end. Allah asks us to start quitting the bigger sins and mistakes and seek His help to purify ourselves.
People tend to define sin as big and small with their limited knowledge on the effects of those sins. But Huzoor warned us to understand any sin that we have difficulty quitting is a big sin. We might think some sins are not really bad and continue living with them while we follow prayers etc. But we have to focus on getting out of all habitual sins and any deep rooted sin. By small sins Allah only means that human heart is fragile and at time it tends to mistakes. But the grace of Allah will protect us from those accidental sins as long as we stay away from habitual sins.
While we focus on purifying our souls, we should not fall into the trap of pride. Many people, as soon as they start some good acts, think of themselves as pure and start acting with pride. This is not allowed. Allah warns anyone who thinks they are pure. Purity of soul is a knowledge that is limited to Allah alone. We should not boast, nor be proud about our status, wealth, family or any such material means too. Allah refers in the Holy Qur'an about purified people as those who are pure in their private lives.
We can only try to attain this and He helps us. Likewise we should also stay away from being led by anger. Anger can block the progress of purifying soul.
Huzoor put the example of pride to Satan who was not happy when Allah decided to create mankind. Satan thought he was in a much better position than man, but Allah told him He knows more than Satan. So anyone who possess pride is actually having this satanic behavior.
Huzoor ended the sermon with the prayers of Hadhrat Adam(as) when he realized he made an error
"O our lord, we sinned to our souls. If You do not forgive us and show mercy on us, we are definitely among the losers"

الواسع - Care on marital relations and orphans
Allah has not made anyone responsible for what he is not capable of. Muslims have the responsibility of working for the betterment of society and to deliver the responsibilities. We should not ever think these are beyond our capability and stay away from these. Rather we should keep trying our best and keep asking Allah for the results. That is how we can progress in our faith and continue on the path of righteous deeds.

الواسع Be mindful of the Satan
It is very important that we should be mindful of the deceptions of Satan and keep ourselves on the path of Islam. For this, the most important thing is to keep time and attention for the prayers. Prayers keeps us in the circle of reception of mercy from The Almighty, so that even if we fall prey to Satan once a while, Allah's mercy will soon save us from that. Otherwise we will get so used to the ways of Satan and we will never realise it. We should strive to keep our taqwa, and pray expecting kindness from the abundance of God's mercy. May Allah help us on this path.

Al-Nafi means The Benefactor - May1st 2009
Look around you! Nature is always a pleasant surprise. It rains, it waters all the trees and plants alike. The earth looks so happy when they turn green. The sun warms up the whole world. The sky lits up with twinkling stars and goodnight moon during the night.
The cold snowy winter, beautiful spring and warm summer we enjoy every year, they come and go. Life moves on!. Creation reminds us of its Creator. God creates and He nurtures. He created everything we see around.
Huzoor says there should be no single doubt in our mind, other than saying its Allah who is the creator. Al-Nafi is the name of God, means the Benefactor. He create things. He takes care off His creation. So that it may be useful. Among all the creation man benefits the most. We make use of everything around of Gods creation.
Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) says- many worlds exist on this earth, each creation has a world of its own. The world on the earth, the world under the sea, the world in the space so on. God is the Lord of all the worlds we see.
Comfort of sweet home, loving parents to take care off us, siblings to play with everything was here when we were born. Juicy fruits, yummy sweets, relishing ice cream, good friends, nice books..whatever we enjoy it just there for us to enjoy. This should make us feel always humble and thankful to Allah. We should remember this character of Allah being Al-Nafi and thank Him in our daily prayers.
When we remember and thank God everyday, it increases our love. It strengthens our belief in the existence of God. Huzoor says indeed man should be utterly grateful to God. We should be completely free of associating any partners with God.

True significance of word Profit or Benefit - April 24th 2009
Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V says - the word gain or profit means a person to be of benefit, be useful to another. Al Nafi - The Benefector is one of the many names of Allah - who is a source of all benefits.
The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Almighty be upon him) says a believer can be of use or benefit to another by giving alms. If he does not have means to do so, he should work hard, gain something and then give alms. If this not possible, then he should help somebody who is in trouble. If he did not find any such person, he should avoid bad things and do good.
The purpose of alms giving and sharing is to remove the hunger and helplessness of the poor. Huzoor said we should always keep in mind that real gain or profit is what one receives from God. Our reward lies in whatever we give or share with others. Hand that gives but not a hand that takes should be our way.
Holy prophet (pbuh) said that a person who removed a branch of tree from the road thinking that, it should not cause any difficulty for another person deserves paradise. Our good actions which needs no money and no arm strength are high in God's sight. The reward which God blesses for such acts is also abundant. May Allah help us to do so. Ameen.

Al-Lateef - the Kind, Gracious and Unseen. (17th April 2009)
God is All -Knowing and All -aware. He provides physical and spiritual nourishment. He helps like a dear friend during difficult times. He acknowledges good and covers weakness. He accepts small sacrifices and inturn bless them with great reward.
Holy Quran says " Eyes cannot reach God, but He reaches eyes"( 6:104). Promised Messiah ( on whom be peace) explains our sight, our intelligence, our consciouness cannot reach God because He is Unseen. Even if we have to imagine He is unimaginable.
But God reaches us. Whomever He reaches He fills that person with great love of God and illumines that person with Light of God. Prophets and God's messengers are especially blessed with this light of God, hence they speak about God and convey the message they received from God to the mankind.
Huzoor says to witness the light of God, one need not be well educated, learned or even a very rich or have a good status in the society. Whoever truly look for Him, who are sincere and have a real longing to see God with their pure hearts, God himself helps and provides guidence.
At this current age God sent Promised Messiah (On whom be peace) to provide guidence to truly seeking servants of God. Huzoor said We Ahmadis , the faithful, who have accepted the Imam of the age should pray for all Muslims and mankind, so that God may purify their hearts to accept the truth. Ameen.

Remember Allah - Apr 10, 2009
An Ahmadi is blessed with the Light from Allah, and that increases his responsibility. We should turn our attention to Allah. When we see the beauty of mountains and valleys and waterfalls and streams and lakes, we should realize the existence of Allah. Allah has created all these with a purpose.
We have to turn to Allah with gratitude and prayers. Once we turn our attention to Allah, we will be more careful about our prayers and we will start following his commandments. The intelligent when they turn to Allah, will be able to see things with a deeper insight.
Human success cannot come without help from God. May Allah include us among this loved ones. May Allah bless us that we can think about Allah’s creation and increase our faith.Ameen.

Divine attribute of Al-Sattar and our responsibilities - Apr 03, 2009
Continuing on the attribute of Allah – Al Sattar – Khalifatul Masih V explained how Allah protects believers. If one has the protection of Allah, and if he remembers Allah and does good deeds, Allah will forgive small mistakes. When he forgives these small mistakes, he will also cover it from the view of the society also. This is how Allah extends his mercy on us so that we improve in our faith.
Hadhrat Masih Maood has taught us that The Holy Qur’an gives confidence to people who seek him. It says Allah is the most Merciful like no one else. He will save us from all our sins if we seek him. If one walks towards Allah, Allah will run closer to him. Allah’s mercy is limitless. So we should strive to be perfect in our faith.
We should strive to deliver our responsibilities to Allah and His creations. We should do all the good deeds Allah has taught us and stay away from all the deeds that he dislikes. Every Ahmadi should understand this and follow the guidance from the Holy Qur’an.
The Holy Qur’an has explained that dress gives protection from environment and as beauty to people. Huzoor warned that people who wear dress that expose more skin is not following the commandments of the Holy Qur’an. The Holy Qur’an asks us to try to stay away from all bad deeds.
We should forgive when we get angry. We should not try to expose others’ mistakes when we get angry. Hadhrat Masih Maood says every member in the Jamaat should try to learn compassion. If someone has done an error, we should pray for him, should be kind to him and try to save him from that error.
May Allah forgive us and protect us from all evils. May Allah include us among those who have His love. Ameen.

Al-Sattar – the one who covers weaknesses and failures (March 27th 2009)
The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said, Islam is the only religion who presents the concept of God covering human mistakes. Hadiths informs us that loving God covers his believers faults countless time. Each time a believer commits something wrong, the shield like cover is torn, until unless there remains nothing. But then God says to His angels to cover His believer with their wings.
If the believer realizes his mistake, repents and asks forgiveness from God, God restores His blessings nine fold. When the believer do not ask forgiveness from God, then he is left alone to face the consequences of his actions. Huzur said we should continually pray that God keeps us in the wraps of His covers.
As a Muslim, we should always try to cover the fault or mistakes of our fellow brother or friend, and remember them in our prayers. Huzoor said in situations where someone’s failing is discovered and while that person has repented and corrected his/her ways, the other goes ahead and publicizes it, not only do they expose the faults of another, they also indulge in backbiting.
Huzoor said it does not mean that one should support failings, rather we should not circulate them and spread across the people, if we do so, it is backbiting and according to the Holy Quran,God says this is sin. These are the aspects we need to inculcate in our Community. May Allah enable us to do so. Ameen.

Persecution of an Ahmadi Muslim - 20th March 2009
On 23rd March 1889, according to the commandment of God, the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) took his first bai’at (pledge of allegiance) from the believers and hundreds of them joined the community. God promised that He himself will take care of the progress of the community. Hence the first era of the Ahmadiyya community begun.
There came many oppositions from the unbelievers, who did not believe in Promised Messiah (On whom be peace). Unbelievers made believers suffer because of their faith, and even kill them. Huzoor said today this happening more in Pakistan and also in Bulgaria and India.
Huzur said the Qur’an makes it clear that it is essential for the completion of faith that one faces difficulties. When severe difficulties are faced, one should stay steadfast and patient for the sake of God and should engage in sincere prayers and show patience at this difficult time.
Huzur said ,unbelievers have not yet realized that they are in fact causing injustice in the name of God. They are forgetting that when cruelty exceeds all limits the believers raise the call ‘when will come the help of Allah?’ – to which the response is ‘Yea, surely the help of Allah is nigh.’ (2:215).
The true commemoration of Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)- March 13th 2009
The 12th day, of third month in Islamic calender, is the day of birth of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) where some sects of Muslims celebrate this day as Milad-un-Nabi- observence of the day of birth of prophet Muhammad ( pbuh).
The early Muslims of the first three centuries, after passing away of the Prophet (pbuh), had the greatest love and devotion towards Prophet and had an excellent knowledge of his Sunnah (practice) and his Shariah (religious law). Despite this, history informs us that there is no mention of observing the day of prophet's birth, as a Birth day.
Huzur said, the commemoration of the day as such is not forbidden with the condition that no harmful new things are involved. It also does not necessarily have to be associated with a particular date as long as one derives sufficient blessings from such gatherings.
Holy Prophet (pbuh) has demonstrated a blessed model for us in everything and that is what we should aim to follow.
The Imam of the age (on whom be peace) who God has sent in the world, said that the remembrance of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) is most excellent and it brings about Divine grace, but not when it is included with moral defects which interferes with the Unity of God.

Exhortations of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). 6th March 2009
The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said that, this age is where satan the evil one wanted to take man away from his God. It was the will of God to save man from the fire of sin and created a group of righteous people (community) to demonstrate Taqwa-righteousness and purity to the world.
Huzoor said we are greatful to belong to this community because we were born as an Ahmadi or our elders or ourselves have accepted Ahmadiyyat. We should strengthen our faith, offer our prayers regularly, demonstrate patience and goodness and always hold God as our helper all the time.
The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said that each stranger who meets Ahmadis observes the way they carry themselves, their ethics and manners. If he does not find them to be fine, he stumbles because of the Ahmadi. Therefore it is essential to exemplify honesty and truth because God is preparing a community of the truthful.
Huzur prayed that may Allah make each one of us truly belong to the group of the righteous and fufil our responsibilities as an Ahmadi Muslim. Ameen.

Those who are guided to the right path (27th Feb 2009)
Huzoor said for the peace and guidance of the world the Living God of Islam sends His special people in every age and grants guidance to pure souls to follow His messengers.
Tufail bin Amr was a wise poet at the time of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) who decided to stay away from Prophet (pbuh) and his God’s message, wanted not to even let his voice reach him. Saying he stuffed cotton wool in his ears. One day he heard the Quranic verses that the Prophet was reciting during his Salat. He found it most fine and requested Prophet (pbuh) to recite more. After hearing those he was extremely moved and accepted Islam.
Huzoor said God continues to guide His chosen people even today and shared the story of the family of a young Christian man who lived in a small island called Rodrigues in Mauritius who accepted Ahmadiyyat. His maternal grandmother had seen the revealing dream and knew Ahmadiyya message was true. Later, when the initiation-bai’at forms were taken, seeing the forms tears welled up in the eyes of the grandmother and said she had seen a dream the previous night in which she had seen the exact papers of the bai’at form.
In Bulgaria a wife accepted Ahmadiyyat but her husband did not. Suddenly he expressed his desire to accept Ahmadiyyat quickly. When asked what the hurry was, he said he had seen Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V in his dream who had said to him ‘You do not come to us so I have come to you’.
Huzur asked us to recite the Holy prophet’s prayer, who prayed to Allah to grant guidence to his people to accept the truth . May Allah help us to do so. Ameen.

Prophecy of the ' Promised Reformer ' ( Feb 20th 2009)
Prophecy of the Promised Reformer was disclosed to the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) at a time when he supplicated to Allah, for forty days in solitude, asking signs for the defense of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him).
God revealed him with prophecy of the birth of ' A pure son, who will be extremely intelligent ,understanding ,humble and filled with knowledge of God '. This ‘promised son’ was born on 12th January 1889 and was named Mirza Bashir ud din Mahmood Ahmad.
On 20th Feb 1886, promised messiah (on whom be peace) revealed this prophecy to the public. Huzur said we commemorate the fulfillment of this on 20th February each year as ‘Musleh Maud Day’. The 'Musleh Maud day' is not the date of his birth or his death.
Huzur said we remember this, in order to revive our faith and remind us of our responsibilities and establish truth of Islam in the world. May Allah help us to do so. Ameen.

Guide us in the right path (Feb 13th 2009)
'Guide us in the right path' (1:6) is a prayer that seeks a good path, makes a person pious and leads to attain his/her goal making it easier to march forward. This prayer also signifies seeking the wordly knowledge, like our studies, our work and whatever we desire to achieve.
Huzur said the prayer ‘Guide us in the right path’ is a prayer for the guidence of all mankind and all Muslims. When we say this prayer we should include all mankind in this prayer, include all Muslims and include those who are present in our company during prayer.
Those who say this prayer with sincerity of heart and profound devotion are blessed with glad things, irrespective of they are young or old. Allah has named Islam as steadfastness in the Holy Quran , and therin has taught us the prayer "Guide us in the right path" to achieve steadfastness.
Huzoor said Ahmadis who are true believers of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) should offer special prayers for the safety of all Ahmadis, safety of all Muslim Ummah and safety of all mankind.
May Allah enable us to do so. Ameen.

Al-Hadi - The Guide (Feb 6th 2009)
One time people rejected God and assumed man himself is powerful to take care of himself. That is when God Almighty teached His people the way of spiritual knowledge until such time that they recognise God as Rabb-whom with His divine grace, creates, nurtures and sustains His creation.
God teaches His people through His choosen messengers and with His divine message. When people were ready to give the final complete message, He sent prophet Muhammed ( peace and blessings of Almighty be upon him) with divine book- 'Holy Quran' to the entire mankind.
Again when people forget the status of man, and have no concept of God this is when the Gracious God sent an Imam who can guide the people again. The promised Messiah ( on whom be peace) then declared ' I am that Imam of the age'
Huzoor said, people should seek guidence with sincere and earnest prayers to Almighty God, asking God, to guide them in a right path. For sure they will be guided in a right path, to embrace a True Islam and the Imam of the age. Ameen

Sufficient is Allah as a Friend, Sufficent is Allah as a Helper (Jan 30th 2009)
Huzoor delivered his Friday sermon on Allah being sufficient for those who are from God and explained in greater detail how God helped Promised Messiah (on whom be peace), same way as He helped Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Promised Messiah (On whom be peace) came with Divine revelations, which was not supported and believed by many, but rather than siezing him God manifested hundreds of signs to support his truthfulness to the mankind. Every time he was in danger Allah with His great help protected him.
Huzur said, even after passing away of Promised Messiah (on whom be peace ),whenever their was a danger , Allah’s help came and the Community was saved from any bad consequences of enmity. Despite opposition and restrictions the Community continues to spread.
Huzoor said this prevails because Allah’s help is with us and this is a Sign of the Living God of Islam which is evident all the time, which each Ahmadi feels and the world also senses.
When God, sends His servants to this world to propagate His message, He assures them in every way and declares to them saying ‘Is not Allah sufficient for His servant?’ (39:37). He also states: ‘And Allah knows your enemies fully well. And sufficient is Allah as a Friend, and sufficient is Allah as a Helper.’ (4:46). Ameen.

Is not Allah sufficient for His servant?
Huzoor said one who is appointed by God is truthful, in the message he brings and indeed in his word. The message he brings is from Allah and is strengthened and supported with evidence with God's help.
Allah states that He is sufficient for His servant. Servant implies, the true servant of Allah who are perfectly obedient to Him. Who proclaims to be helper of Allah. Who worship Him. Who glorifies Him. Who have great sense of honour for Him and Who love Him most dearly.
Allah sent a true and ardent devotee of Holy prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) , the Promised messiah ( on whom be peace ) to present the beauty of Islam in enhanced manner, reviving the old teaching so that, those who are lost may be brought closer to God.Allah revealed the Quranic verse of ‘Is not Allah sufficient for His servant?’ (39:37 ) many times to Promised messiah whenever he went through difficult times.

Al-Kaafi - The sufficient (16th Jan 2009)
Huzoor narrated Hadiths which about the prayer in Quran (2:286,287) and said these prayers will protect us from evil and help us progress in our faith. We should make our faith in God much stronger by believing in Allah, His angels, His books and all His messengers.
By understanding the commandments given by God and following them in practice in our daily lives we purify ourselves. The more we strengthen our faith , more righteous we become and much closer we become to God Almighty to feel that He is sufficient for us.
May Allah enable us to do so . Ameen

Giving in the way of Allah (9th Jan 2009)
" As to the men who give alms, and the women who give alms, and those who lend to Allah a goodly loan- it will be increased manifold for them, and theirs will also be an honorable reward (57;19)".
Promised messiah (as) said God does not need money, but He takes it upon Himself to reward and express His love for such people who make sacrifices in the way of God. The sacrifice made purely for the sake of God is greatly valued in God's eyes.
God tests by giving and then wishes to see how that wealth is spent. If spent in the way of God rewards are reaped abundantly. But the one who forget God and spends on luxurious unwanted wordly things then it becomes all temporary and way to despair aand reap only punishment from God.
Huzoor announced the begining of new Waaq-fe -Jadid year, and contributions made last year by all Ahmadiyya Jamaats around the world. Huzoor prayed that may Allah cause the wealth of all those who made sacrifices to increase and enable us to supplicate and accept our humble prayers. Ameen.

Durood and Supplication way to peace (2nd Jan 2009)
Allah completed the revelation of the guidance -the Holy Quran, to the mankind during the time of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Now is the time for completion of the propagation of this guidance.
We Ahmadis being the "Khairum Ummat - The blessed community ", we are responsible for this task. Huzoor wants us to purify ourselves and then cleanse those around us also in this purity of knowledge of the Holy Quran.
The Holy prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to the world as a messenger of peace and unity. To save the muslim world from fighting each other and create peace on the planet earth we should recite Durood Shareef and invoke blessings on the Holy prophet (pbuh) and his ummah abundantly.
Reciting Durood often makes our humble prayers accepted by God Almighty.May Allah help us to do so. Ameen.
